Massey Fish Company is holding a fish giveaway for households experiencing food insecurity on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the CLM Community Action Agency, 368 Reagan St., St. Ignace.

Massey Fish would like to acknowledge the struggle some families are facing with food insecurity due to delays in SNAP benefits and other financial constraints. Up to 350 families will be provided with a package of free fish products containing a combination of Massey’s frozen fish fillets and our fresh smoked fish pâtés.

Elders, seniors, and families experiencing food insecurity will receive 5 pounds of frozen, vacuum-packed whitefish fillets, 2 lbs. of frozen vacuum-packed lake trout fillets, two containers of smoked whitefish pâté, and two containers of smoked lake trout pâté. If possible, bring a cooler or freezer bag for best quality. A family member may pick up your package if you do not have transportation.

Massey Fish has always been grateful for the support that has been shown to them over the years and feels blessed to be able to pay that forward to its community. Massey Fish could not make this happen without the collaboration of various agencies and its dedicated tribal commercial fishermen who were happy to donate a portion of their catch. We hope this little bit helps!
