SAULT STE. MARIE TRIBE OF CHIPPEWA INDIANS NOTICE OF CONSTITUTIONAL SURVEY OCT. 16, 2025

Pursuant to Resolution 2025-164, the Election Commission of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians has been tasked with conducting a survey of membership on their wishes for implementing a Separation of Powers by amending the Sault Tribe Constitution, by either supporting not building a Separation of Powers into the Constitution, building a Two Branch Government (Legislative and Judicial) into the Constitution, or building a Three Branch Government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) into the Constitution.

Below are important dates and information pertaining to the Constitutional Survey. The timetable for the Constitutional Survey is as follows: (All deadlines are 4:30 p.m. EST).

Oct. 17 .............. Deadline to mail blank Constitutional Survey to members

Nov. 14 ............. Tabulation Night of Constitutional Surveys
