NYE PowwowThe Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians welcomes the New Year with their Sobriety Powwow on Dec. 31, 2025, at Big Bear Arena, located at 2 Ice Circle in Sault Ste. Marie.

Schedule of Events:
Vendors: set up at 12 p.m.
Doors open to public at 3 p.m.
Dinner at the Niigaanagiizhik at 4 p.m.
Sobriety recognition at 5 p.m.
Grand entry at 6 p.m.
Traveling Song at 10 p.m.

Head Staff:
Emcee – Joe Medicine
Head Veteran – Nick VanAlstine
Arena Director – Les Ailing
Host Drum – Big River
Invited Drums – Ice Circle & Frog Hills
Head Male Dancer – Jess Farley
Head Female Dancer – Melissa Causley

Drum Split for all drums (must have four singers). Honorarium for the first 50 dancers in regalia. Spot dances and giveaway. Drug and alcohol free. Not pets. No politics.
