Sault Tribe’s enterprise-based economy helps the tribe pay for tribal membership services, pushing revenue into health, education, social services, elder care and education and other tribal programs. Tribally generated revenue can be spent as the tribe sees fit, thus tailoring funding to members’ needs. Tribal enterprises also employ tribal members and others in the surrounding community with a living wage and benefits.
