Indigenous Breastfeeding Workshop
Join us for a knowledge-sharing circle on the topic of traditional Anishinaabe practices that support healthy breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. There will be a taste-testing of traditional foods and a fun night of practicing hands-on newborn care such as breastfeeding holds, baby carriers, and more.

Presenter:
Raeanne Madison, MPH, is a crane clan citizen of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa Indians. Raeanne is an Indigenous mother, auntie, doula, and community educator who currently resides in Bawating (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.). She is the founder of Postpartum Healing Lodge, a community education and doula training organization that partners with groups all across Indian country.
