The newly established five-member Sault Tribe Election Commission seeks to fill five seats. To be eligible for the Election Commission, a person must be a registered voter of the tribe, at least 18 years of age, with preference given to enrolled Sault Tribe members with demonstrated knowledge in the function of the tribal government, the tribal election process, and the Tribal Code, specifically Chapter 10 Elections Ordinance.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and these will be forwarded to the Elder Advisory Committee for its consideration. The Elder Advisory Committee will send its recommendations to the Board of Directors for final approval. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, however for immediate consideration to sit on the Election Commission for the 2024 General Election Cycle, interested tribal members must have their letter of interest and references submitted by Jan. 11, 2024.
