Membership Services
Sault Tribe's membership services help improve the quality of life for tribal members and their families. Numerous programs are implemented under each of the major divisions: Education, Housing, Natural Resources, Recreation, Anishnaabek Community and Family Services, Culture, Elder Services, Enrollment and Health. The programs are funded from a combination of federal fudns, state community grants blocks, competetive grants and tribal revenue. Special funding for scholarships comes from tribal charitable funding and tribal elders.

ACFS Seeks Public Comments on the Child Care Development Fund Program
Anishnaabek Community and Family Services (ACFS) operates the Child Care Development Program, more commonly known as CCDF or Child Care Assistance, in all seven counties of the Tribal Service Area. This program is funded by a grant from the Office of Child Care, which is a division of the federal government’s Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families. The Tribal CCDF Program provides child care subsidies to eligible families who work or attend school.
In 2013, ACFS intends to apply for continued funding to operate the CCDF program and is seeking public comment on the current CCDF Program Plan. This is our opportunity to make changes to the way the CCDF program operates and we would like to hear from current and previous CCDF parents and child care providers who are licensed by CCDF or receive CCDF funds. ACFS will be accepting public comments from May 1, 2013 - through June 30, 2013.
A copy of the proposed CCDF Program Plan will be available at the following locations from May 1, 2013 through June 31, 2013.
