SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - A regular meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors will be held at the Munising Tribal Center in Munising, Mich., July 16 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 5 to 6:00 p.m.

Resolutions under consideration are: Approving Escanaba Lease; Approving Construction Placing Bids/Contracting; USDA/NRCS Cost Share - Fish Barrier Construction; Budget Modifications for Nunn’s Creek, Eagle Ridge Apartments, Cultural - Ojibwe Language Program, Accept Inland Treaty Rights Implementation, Accept BIA Supplemental Treaty Rights: (STLE, Fisheries and Inland Recommendations); Establish Budgets: Tribal Institutional Researcher Position, Tribal Chair/Executive Office Travel Budget; Livestream Budget - Consultation Services; and Organizational Changes (Resolutions Reaffirming): Health and Housing Divisions.

Under New Business, the board will consider: Amending Chapter 10 - Special Advisory Elections and a committee appointment.

Under Standing Proposed Action Items is: Draft Constitution - Vote of the People, Membership Votes on Constitutional Amendments, and Tribal Ethics Code - Process and Timeline.
