The Recreation Division is dedicated to promoting healthy and happy lifestyles, by providing safe, enjoyable and traditional activities for a variety of ages, while creating bonds of mutual respect between individuals and communities.

Department Summary

The Youth Department Programs are licensed by the State of Michigan as A Bear Necessity Child Care Center. The programs are offered to children between the ages of 6 - 12 years. The children are able to participate in a wide variety of recreation activities in a safe and supervised environment.

The After School Recreation Program provides transportation from the local elementary school systems to the program each day. The program runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.

The Summer Recreation Program consists of two five-week programs that operate Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
