Grandmothers from tribes on both sides of the St. Mary's River will walk across the International Bridge on Saturday morning to protest human trafficking. PACT - Persons Against the Crime of Trafficking in Humans - is sponsoring the Oct. 1 event to bring awareness to the international issue of trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The walk begins at 9 a.m. at LSSU Parking Lot A and ends at the Sault Ste. Marie Indian Friendship Center at 122 East St., Sault, Ontario, about 5 miles. Walkers must pre-register for the walk to make arrangements for crossing the border.
