SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - A special meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors is scheduled for the Sault Kewadin Casino, 6:00 p.m., on Oct. 29.

The agenda is as follows:  
  
 • Approval of FY 2014 Schedule B and C budgets with a 2 percent anticipatory recission in federal funding and 5 percent reduction in tribal support; and

 • Capping salaries at the max for all government, enterprise and casino team members at max with savings to minimize adverse impacts on services - or - reducing the tribal board and chairman salaries in half with savings to minimize adverse impacts on services; and

 • Approval of a SDPI budget contingent on receipt of an award letter with no costs incurred until such time; and

 • Adopting a stipulation that no raises or adjustments occur outside of Headstart commitment to raise teachers and teachers' aids who meet their educational credentials; and 
  
 • Establish parity in furlough policy for all government team members. 
  
 • Wage and hiring freeze. 
  
 • Establishment of IHS Special Diabetes FY 2014 budget.
