SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - A special meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors will be held at the Sault Kewadin Casino at 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 30.

The agenda is as follows:

- FY 2013 Schedule B budgets containing a 2 percent reduction in federal funding and 5 percent reduction in Tribal Support funds with actual figures contained therein;

OR

- Continuing Resolution for Schedule B Budgets at FY 2013 levels and Final FY2014 figures to adjust administrative based on actual final funding levels from federal sources;

- Budget modification to impose four furlough days per year on all governmental team members and all casino administrative team members with an annual salary over $50, 000 - or - Reduce the Over-the-Max Team Members to the max who have salaries over $40, 000;

- Budget modification to adjust over-the max-salaries in Schedule B to the max saving at least $150, 000 (holding harmless those under $40, 000 salary);

- Budget modification to adjust over-the max-salaries for casino budgets to the max saving at least $400, 000;

- Budget modification to move the $550, 000 savings from the over-the-max reductions to reinstate the Head Start program to the FY 2014 levels without the previously approved reductions thereby eliminating the one month furloughs previously approved and instructional days;

- Tribal Board Mandate to Invoice and Collect full amount due from casino for space costs, and ancillary services (HR, Legal, MIS, etc.) provided by the Tribe at an estimated $800, 000 savings to be applied to reserves to cover insurance contingencies, or replenish internal debt;

- Authorize the sale of Lakefront Hotel property with 60 percent of revenues to serve as down payment financing for a hotel expansion for the Kewadin Shores hotel after a feasibility study is completed.
