SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Health Division has scheduled COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics and Flu Vaccine Clinics over the next two months, with more clinics to be added.

Since Dec. 17, 2020, the Health Division has administered over 13,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Sault Tribe vaccination events are now open to the general public in the local community. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Per the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, COVID-19 vaccine booster shots will be available through Sault Tribe hosted COVID-19 vaccination clinics. At this time, additional third dose of COVID-19 Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines are offered for immunocompromised patients. Please look on your vaccination card to determine which vaccine you received and register for your additional third dose with the same vaccine, as cross vaccinations are not recommended at this time.

To register for an appointment, use the Sault Tribe Health Division’s online COVID-19 Vaccination Registration Form available at, which can be accessed via cellphone, tablet or computer. Please call 906‑632‑5200, ext. 42078, with questions.

Patients coming for their second dose should bring their CDC vaccination card provided at the first appointment. All vaccinations are provided by appointment only. Walk in option maybe added at a later time.
