Opioid overdose prevention training of trainers takes place on April 20, 1-4 p.m., at Huntington Bank, 511 Ashmun Street in Sault Ste. Marie.
Overdose prevention orientation and training of trainers. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to:
1. Identify opioids and other substances that increase overdose risk and define opioid overdose
2. Define the role of naloxone in overdoses and recognize and respond to an opioid overdose
3. Deliver overdose recognition and response training to potential overdose responders and adapt content for various audiences and settings
