Running for Reading 5k & Fun Run to fund new mobile libraries

The EUPISD Early Childhood Department in partnership with U.P. North Books and More, Rotary of Sault Ste. Marie MI and Northwoods Christian Camp are inviting you to our first Running for Reading 5k & Fun Run! Enjoy a fun family-friendly event benefiting local children within our communities.
 
All proceeds raised by this Fun Run/5K event will benefit the Lending Library Initiative. Families can borrow or keep books from the lending libraries placed throughout communities in businesses and agencies young children and families frequent most often (restaurants, laundry mats, grocery stores, etc.). The lending libraries are intended to increase the availability of books for children, promote the importance of early literacy and offer an alternative to screen time.
 
The Fun Run event will take place on Sept. 15, beginning at 9 a.m. Participants have the option to run either a 1K or 5K at Northwoods Christian Camp in Pickford.
