Busses Head to Greektown June 28
At 1 p.m., Monday, June 28 the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) will hold a special meeting in Detroit to determine of the proposed new owners of Greektown Casino will receive state licenses to own the facility. If the licenses are approved by the MGCB, the Sault Tribe will no longer have any ownership of the property.
Some Sault Tribe members have asked if transportation could be made available so they could attend the MGCB meeting. To accommodate that request, two buses will leave the Upper Peninsula the morning of Monday, June 28 to travel to the MGCB hearing in Detroit. The buses will return to the Upper Peninsula Monday evening.
The bus schedule is as follows:
Bus #1
Marquette pickup at Walmart: 4:30 a.m.
Arrive at Christmas Casino: 5:24 a.m.
Depart Christmas Casino: 5:30 a.m.
Arrive at Manistique Casino: 6:26 a.m.
Depart Manistique Casino: 6:30 a.m.
Arrive in Detroit: 12:35 p.m.
Bus #2
Sault Casino pickup: 6:45 a.m.
Arrive at Hessel Casino: 7:32 a.m.
Depart Hessel Casino: 7:35 a.m.
Arrive at St. Ignace Casino: 8:06 a.m.
Depart St. Ignace Casino: 8:10 a.m.
Arrive in Detroit: 12:35 p.m.
