Sault Tribe Board of Directors holds regular meeting in Sault Ste. Marie May 5

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A regular meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors will be held at the Sault Kewadin Casino starting at 6:00 p.m. on May 5. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 5 to 6:00 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are: Budget: Tribal Climate Change – Est. FY 2015 Budget, ACFS – Title IV-B Subpart 2 FY 2015 Mod, ACFS – USDA FY 2015 Modification, and FY 2015 MidJim Capital Purchases Budget; 2015-2016 Farm to School Implementation Grant; 2015 Head Start and Early Head Start Grant; 2015 Great Start School Readiness Program; Sharing Agreement with Mich. Dept. of Education; T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood ® MI Scholarship; Approving Amendment Tax Agreement with SOM; Trust Land Status – Charles City Iowa Addition; Trust Land Status – Fletcher’s Addition; Lease Cancellation – Baker; Trust Land Lease – Little; Authority to Convey Property – 1857 E. 16th Avenue; Attendance Policies; Updating Tribal Bid Policy; Grand Marais Dock Project – MEDC; Amending Ch. 94 – Management Board Composition; Posting the Chief Executive Officer Position; Mackinac Island Elder Subcommittee; Re-Open Sault Tribe Rolls; Constitutional Amendment: Three Branch Separation; Constitutional Amendment: Adding Mackinac Band; Constitutional Amendment: Establishing Unit VI; and Equal Protections of Voter Registration – Referendum.

Under New Business, the board will consider committee requests, board attendance log and dispute resolution.
