SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A regular meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors is scheduled at the Comfort Inn in Newberry ,  Mich. at 6:00 p.m. on Jan. 14. The meeting will be preceded by matters raised by members from 5 to 6:00 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are: Authorization Grant Agreement with the Great Lakes Fishery Trust; Healthy Start Initiative; Lease Cancellation –Delmar /Sherry Shagen; Trust Land Lease – Delmar Shagen; Legal Assistance for Victims Grant; Renaming JKL Baweting Anishinaabe Grant School; AECOM Contract-Waiver of Immunity; Amending Chapter 21: Inland Fishing and Hunting; Loan Gaming Authority to Tribe: Computer/JD Edwards; Rescinding Key Employee Res. (3 options); FY 2014 Gov’t Capital Purchases Budget; FY 2014 Enterprises Capital Purchases Budget; Budget Modifications: Tribal Climate Change Program, Fisheries-Epoufette/Trap Net Consent, JD Edwards, Gov’t NCAI Initiative, Am Indian Substance Abuse/IHS Aftercare; Constitutional Amendments: Separate and Independent Judicial Branch, Rights of Recall and Removal, Bill of Rights, Additional Election Unit, Right of Initiative, Amending Chapter 10, Amending Chapter 16; Enactment of Ethics Code; Referendum Vote: Board Salary $100,000 or $75,000 or $67,000 or $50,000 or $30,000; and Requiring Tribal Board to be Subject to the Sexual Harassment Policy of the Tribe.

Under new business, the board will consider a committee appointment, administrative review, proof of residency - BOD in 2012 election and publish board attendance at regularly scheduled meetings and Tuesday’s workshops.
