SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A meeting of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Kewadin Shores Casino (sprung structure) at 6:00 p.m., in St. Ignace. Matters from members will be heard beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The board will consider the following resolutions: Appointment Reserve Appellate Judge: John Lemire; VOCA Grant Program; 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – HUD; 2013 ICDBG – Housing; National Indian Gaming Association (2); Restrictions on MH-1, Lake Huron; CORA – Nelson v. Renner; Relating to the Sale of Lakefront Inn; Amending Chapter 21: Marten Regulations; Approving Forest/Woodland Management Plan; and Budget Modifications: Sexual Assault Services, St. Ignace Clinic, Education –Head Start Proposal 1, Education – Head Start Proposal 2, Midjim, St. Ignace, Gaming Commission, EPA Water Quality, EPA – Brownfields, and Buildings – Grimes/Tribal Operations.
Under new business, the board will hear committee requests and consider canceling March 5 meeting, postponing March 5 meeting to March 12.
