Substitute Elementary Teacher position closes Jan. 25
Joseph K. Lumsden Bahweting School (JKL) is accepting applications for a full time, Long-Term Substitute Elementary Teacher for the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year. Position is full time beginning immediately through June 8, 2012. JKL is a K-8 system serving approximately 465 students. Candidates must have a valid Michigan teaching certificate, and must be willing to work as a team member in curriculum development and integration of technology. Candidates must have a minimum two years of post secondary education in business, clerical or office procedures field, plus a minimum of two years experience in a position utilizing similar knowledge and skills. Will consider one year of post secondary education with three years of experience in a position utilizing job-required skills. Requires attendance at evening school board meetings and school board committee meetings on a regular basis. Academic Service teachers provide academic support and intervention in order to help students attain state standards. JKL is a K-8 system serving approximately 465 students. Endorsements in math and/or ELA required. Endorsement in Early Childhood preferred.
