Ash Seed Collection Training Sept. 17

Volunteers are needed for ash seed collection and handling this fall and they’ll have to train to do it. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Environmental Department is hosting a free training for ash (Fraxinus) conservation on tribal and public lands. The training will take begin at 206 Greenough St. in the Sault on Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. and run to 3 p.m., with both classroom and hands on training in the field to collect black ash seeds.
