Mission Statement:The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Anishinaabe Bimaadziwin (Cultural Division) envisions a community that is healthy, happy and secure in their own identity, living in their culture with a positive outlook and actively willing to participate fully. Programs:The Anishinaabe Bimaadziwin (Cultural Division) provides coordination for the Tribal Organization and the Tribal Communities' cultural related activities. Within Anishinaabe Bimaadziwin there are six offices addressing the following areas: Anishinaabeg Edinokiiwad (Mary Murray Culture Camp), Anishinaabe Nanaawdchigewin (Traditional Medicine), Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe Language), Gaa Bi Zhiwabag (Historical Preservation and Outreach), Naadin Eshpendaagwak (Cultural Repatriation), Wii Nsastamaageng (Cultural Training) Please click on our directory link for locations and contact information. |
