First One Billion Rising Revolution
Wenaboozhoo Indinawemaaganidog!
Greetings my fellow relations!
Join the Sault Tribe Advocacy Resource Center Team this Valentine's Day in being part of a Global Movement to help end violence against women. We will be Rising Up through an upbeat and impactful “Flashmob Dance” to the song "Break the Chain"! Echoing the message that the cycle of violence is a concern for us all as a Tribal Nation and overarching community. Let us rise together, empowered in our bodies and united through dance! The flashmob will take place at Chi Mukwa Arena in the Volleyball Court at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. There are approximately three weeks to learn the dance routine and bring it to Big Bear!
To join us, learn the following dance routine on your own through youtube or attend one of our many upcoming practice sessions. The next practice is Monday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Sault Tribe Interpretive Center at 521 Ashmun. There will be many more!
Here is a link to the moves—very simple and do-able for EVERY body:
